Family in touch with nature

The owners of this 5,200 sqft 2-storey were hoping to provide a more comfortable environment to raise their family. Their decision for choosing geothermal was both environmental and economical. This was reflected in their geothermal system design which is capable of meeting 100% of the heating & cooling requirements without any backup.

Interesting facts

Forced air heating and cooling in this house is coming from two hydronic fan coils. Fan coils are located in different areas of the house, which is why we configured the geothermal system with water-to-water heat pumps. It added some complexity to the system, but worked well in the end.
