Below a sample collection of our projects
-
A 2 storey packed with technology
Built in Bearspaw Country Estates. A desire to use the latest technologies and to be energy efficient made the decision for geothermal an easy one for the owner of this 6,600 sqft house that also features a 1,500 sqft heated garage/workshop.
-
Single family 2 storey detached
Airdrie's first geothermal installation. Concerns about the environment and depletion of natural resources plus the understanding of long term payback were the deciding factors for the owner (and builder) of this 3,200sqft two storey home with walkout basement to go with geothermal for his new house.
-
Custom family home in Roxboro
This 7,500 sqft piece of contemporary art is situated right on the Elbow River. The geothermal heating & cooling system will create energy independence for the homeowner and his family.
-
Grand 2 storey in Grandview Park
Recognizing that the installation of a renewable energy system would increase the value of his home, the owner of this 8,000 sqft house decided that geothermal made sense.
-
Calgary Net-Zero infill
An Energy Neutral (or Net-Zero) home would be the ultimate goal for the owner of this 2,200 sqft two-storey infill. Geothermal, tight insulation and a few solar panels got him very close.
-
Recreation in Fairmont, BC
For this Calgary couple, using the Earth to heat & cool their 2,700 sqft two-storey recreational property made a lot more sense than using dirty and expensive propane.
-
The Spiral House
The owners of this unique 9,000 sqft inner-city home in Parkhill decided that a geothermal heating & cooling system was the only viable option for their "masterpiece". With 3,000 sqft of Glass surface area and an Inner Courtyard, a well designed and highly efficient space conditioning system is no longer a luxury...it's a must!
-
Family bungalow in touch with nature
The owners of this 5,200 sqft 2-storey were hoping to provide a more comfortable environment to raise their family. Their decision for choosing geothermal was both environmental and economical. This was reflected in their geothermal system design which is capable of meeting 100% of the heating & cooling requirements without any backup.
-
A government affair
A Calgary Member of Parliament and board member of Natural Resources Canada decided to lead by example in selecting geothermal for his new 14,000 sqft villa in Calgary N.E.
-
Walk-Out bungalow is loving the Earth
The mountain view from this 6,000 sqft bungalow gave the owners a heightened awareness of the environment. Both geologists, they were excited about the 10tons of annual carbon footprint reduction that the geothermal would provide them.
-
Vista Bahia
Vista Bahia is a Canadian development of 60+ luxury condos in the Dominical region of Costa Rica. Thermal Creek is delivering a geothermal cooling & hot water solution that can reduce the buildings energy consumption by up tp 70%. This will be the first ever geothermal project in Costa Rica.
-
Spring Creek Canmore
When faced with challenges left behind by the original contractor, Thermal Creek stepped in and turned around many of the geothermals systems for the Spring Creek development. Subsequently, Thermal Creek has been retained to perform scheduled maintenance and repairs for all geothermal systems in the development.
-
Les Germain Calgary
Thermal Creek delivered all ground loop materials for Calgary's Les Germain. This combination of residences and office space is heated and cooled using geothermal technology. 118 boreholes were drilled to approximately 600 feet depth all underneath the foundation to supply enough renewable energy to the building reducing annual greenhouse gas emissions by 1250ton.
-
Soil Thermal Conductivity Tests
Thermal Creek offers soil thermal conductivity tests as part of their services. These tests are typically executed in the engineering stages of a commercial scale project and help determine the optimal size of the geothermal loop field. We have performed these tests under some extreme conditions...both hot and cold...see for yourself.
-
Inner-city bungalow retrofit Calgary
This 1950's built inner-city 2,000 sqft bungalow was in need of a heating system upgrade. The homeowner's ultimate goal was to completely eliminate the use of Natural Gas and implement environmentally friendly features. Geothermal was the most obvious choice.
-
Country 2 storey retrofit Priddis
This 1975 built 2,400 sqft bungalow had a poor heating system, no A/C and a blow-door test suggested that it was time for some upgrades. Geothermal was one of them.
