Calgary, AB, T2N 0W2 DID YOU KNOW THAT 30% OF CANADIAN GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS COME FROM THE WAY WE HEAT, COOL AND PROVIDE HOT WATER FOR OUR HOMES...? GEOTHERMAL TECHNOLOGY USES CLEAN, RENEWABLE ENERGY FROM THE GROUND TO PROVIDE HEATING, COOLING AND HOT WATER FOR YOUR HOME. THE RIGHT CHOICE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
![]() Geothermal systems extract heat from the ground during the winter to provide heating for your home. Every day the ground replenishes this heat by absorbing energy from the sun. In the summer, the geothermal system will extract heat from your house to cool it down and deposit this heat back into the ground. A correct designed system uses minimal amounts of electricity to run, and thus creates very little CO2 emissions. A Natural Gas furnace creates CO2 emissions by burning natural gas and emitting combustion exhausts into our atmosphere. In addition, the exploration process for natural gas creates tons of CO2 emissions - so called "offsite" emissions. Even today's high efficiency furnaces still only run at about 90% efficient.
