100% renewable energy

Geothermal is a 100% renewable energy source we can extract from your own backyard thanks to the earth’s ability to absorb and store energy from the Sun.

Geothermal technology is based on the fact that the earth, beneath the frost line, remains at a relatively constant temperature throughout the year. Warmer than the outside air during winter, and cooler during summer very much like a cave.

Thermal Creek’s geothermal systems use a minimal amount of electricity to transfer this energy from the ground into your home or business, to provide you with year-round heating and cooling from a renewable resource.

The geothermal system is broken down into three main components:

Ground Loop
High-density polyethylene pipes are buried deep in your yard and filled with a solution of antifreeze and water. This liquid absorbs heat from the earth and delivers it to a heat pump in your home.

Heat Pump Unit
The heat pump compresses the energy absorbed from the earth to temperatures that are hot enough to heat either Air for forced air heating, or water for infloor radiant heating.

Distribution System
Similar to conventional systems, geothermal heating can be distributed through either a forced air duct system, radiant in-floor, or a combination of both.

What is geothermal

DID YOU KNOW:
Every day, the earth stores an amount of energy from the sun 500 times greater than all of mankind combined daily energy needs.

Geothermal helps us to reuse some of this renewable energy. It significantly reduces our dependency on non-renewable fossil fuels and saves money at the same time...
